Brief overview of FXCM (Forex Capital Markets)
FXCM is one of the most famous brokers in the world to provide services on the FOREX currency market. Since December 2010, FXCM has been listed on the New York stock exchange. FXCM enables access to the quotes of essential currency pairs, CFD prices on shares and indices and also to such commodities as oil, gold, and silver etc. Trading on the FOREX market can take place at any time, since it is open 24 hours a day (excluding weekends). The goal of FXCM is to use the most advanced technologies and assure the best client support.

Order execution
AgenaTrader does not execute any orders! Instead, brokers simply inform us of filled orders and execution price.
If data received from your data feed provider does not match the quotes on the brokerage platform for an instrument,
then the entry and exit price will not be displayed properly on your chart.

Essential information
FXCM provides volumes for historical ticks for the following symbols only: EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, EUR/JPY, AUD/USD, GBP/JPY, USD/CAD, AUD/JPY, USD/CHF, EUR/CHF, NZD/USD, EUR/AUD, EUR/GBP and EUR/CAD.
Please note the following:
- If you have an FXCM account or request a new one, please make sure that the account type is "Non Hedged".
- The limitation of 20 parallel real-time feeds must be changed to "unlimited".
- Please make sure that in FXCM trading station all instruments were activatd and a activate missing ones, if neccessary.
It is only with these settings that AgenaTrader can function flawlessly with FXCM.
Important. AgenaTrader does not support hedged accounts. Non-hedged accounts are supported by FXCM Trading Station.
MT4 does not support non-hedged accounts. Please do not activate MT4 as trading platform when opening a FXCM account.
FOREX
The minimum order size and the smallest possible step is 1000.
Data-Feed - loading of histories and real-time data
If the loading of histories (charts) takes too long or the charts stay empty after the loading has finished, then the FXCM server returned a timeout. This means that too many instruments with a too big amount of histories were requested. To solve the problem reduce the number of instruments from your workspace or the amount of history (candles) loaded in the charts. Read more about chart and history settings here.

Mini account
AT doesn't support trading with mini account. If user try to trade with Mini account he will receive such message in log:
" Your account type "mini account" is not supported. In order to trade with AgenaTrader a standard account is necessary. Please contact your broker."

This means that the orders and market-related values shown on the BROKER platform are valid.
The broker's platform should always be active as a backup to AgenaTrader.
This gives you an essential overview of the interaction between AgenaTrader and your broker.
Furthermore, you will always know exactly how your orders/positions and ultimately your account balance are displayed.
Warning! This does not work with the desktop MB trading platform.
