Before AgenaTrader, I worked with other platforms, from Germany and the USA. I always wanted a solution with which I could choose the broker myself and escape the unfortunate merging of software and broker. The German software did not really work at all. The American software – which is well known in the Futures Market, although it did also work with Interactive Brokers, was lacking a lot of sensible features and the support was not satisfactory either. This led me to buy AgenaTrader shortly after the software started up, because I found the concept and the claim fascinating.
The first few months – in year 2012 – were difficult. The product still had defects and I got the impression that even the software-related improvements did not really go a long way towards calming down the situation, and at this point I was forced to go back to the previous software. I am describing this because it is certainly not expected for a new product to work stably right from the very beginning.
But then the tide turned: the defects became fewer and fewer, and I was able to trade from out of the chart with features that at that time were above average. But the development of the software was not finished yet.
AgenaTrader did not just limit itself to developing an operable version, but instead continued to consistently develop the software. With each new release, the functionality of the features was extended. These are practice-oriented, comprehensible and useful, and not just the “brainchild” of a programmer. All this also happens without falling back into the initial difficulties, and despite further developments, the software runs almost flawlessly. Now I actually always implement the Beta version, and even this is fundamentally stable.
What is important:
With each new version, the features are meaningfully expanded. One can then usually find one or the other new possibilities to get excited about. I am emphasizing this because in this, I recognize a high demand set by the company of its own product, which is also consistently pursued and implemented.
When I am in contact with the support, I always receive help quickly, and always get a fast response. The resources and videos that are available by now do not leave many questions unanswered.
